Meeting called to order at 5:30 pm by Dale Statson.
President: Dale shared a few comments about Roberts Rules of Order. Goodrich school will be shooting skeet here this Spring. Possibility of GBHC hosting a CCW class in December. Ladies Skeet on Thursday’s could use more volunteers. Dale is talking about who will be on next year’s board. Steak and Clays had 61 people in attendance, netting $1000. Forty students attended the hunter safety class. Next hunter safety class will be Oct. 13, 2007. John Bell will let us know about possibly canceling Nov class.
Oct. 18, 07: Grand Blanc chamber will be back for annual SC shoot: 75 Sporting targets. Dale will talk to Grand Blanc chamber.
Secretary: Secretary’s report accepted as written
Treasurer: Walt Esser absent, he did however send out report last week for approval. Will postpone approval of treasures report until next month.
Membership: Keith Miller, Matthew Grey, Larry Rouse, Bill Richardson, Michael J. Kelly, Martha Breneiser, James Martin and Ken Spears. D. Fortier made motion, 2nd by A. Fletcher, new members were approved.
D. Statson spoke at length about needing member volunteers to do additional projects around the club. More discussion to follow.
Manger: Skeet field lights inoperative on field #1. Need to rewire fields #1 & #2. Cost is $4500.00
Motion by Alan to rewire fields 1 & 2 skeet and trap at a price not to exceed $5,000.00. Support by K. Todd, motion carried.
Sporting Clays: 62 shooters, 5 re-shooting. Income approx $2,000 net. Meeting for MSCA annual shoot dates on Oct 6, 2007. Re: Machine inventory, we need current machine values for insurance replacement cost purposes. Man-lift still waiting for repair; need to get some parts. Next registered shoot Oct. 14, 2007.
Old Business: RSO class: Bill Jones will teach Sept. 17, 2007. There was some discussion about by-laws changes and have separate meeting next week to review.
New Business: Discussion about trap shooters coming here to trap shoot. Meeting on Sept. 17th @ 6:30 pm Monday to review by-laws. Pavilion Plaque has been made and posted showing names of those that donated to the picnic table lumber. 16 people donated, totaling $1600.00.
